Be routed through BlackBerry DevCon Asia floods in Bangkok

We had hoped it would not come so far, but Research In Motion has to postpone the decision and move BlackBerry DevCon Asia due to the aftermath of extreme floods happening now made ??in Thailand.

From the BlackBerry DevCon Asia site:

Important note: Due to the current high floods in Bangkok, Research In Motion ® (RIM ®) has decided to BlackBerry ® DevCon Asia does not take place in Bangkok this year. The decision was to advisories that warn of ongoing threats made ??in connection with the severe impact of rain and local flooding on the infrastructure in Bangkok, where the conference should take place as planned. The safety of participants at each event BlackBerry is of utmost importance to RIM.

RIM is committed to the development community in Asia, and we are currently reviewing new sites and possibly new dates for the conference. More details will be announced in the coming days. We regret not able to hold the conference in Bangkok this year, but we look forward to the return of the event to Bangkok in the future.

RIM apologizes to all current registrants for the late notice and inconvenience caused thereby, but is pleased with their understanding because of unforeseen circumstances, currently suffers from Bangkok. Existing registrations remain active up to confirm the date and venue for the BlackBerry DevCon Asia event.
